Centre withdraws Lalu Prasad's Z+ security cover

The "Z+" Security of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has been scaled down to "Z" category.

Lalu Yadav will not be guarded by National Security Guard (NSG) commandoes anymore.

He will be protected by an armed commando squad of Central Reserve Police Force( CRPF).

The decision was taken after a recent review conducted by Home Ministry that revealed threats to various VIP protectees, an official source stated.

The Z+ CRPF category of former Bihar chief minister Jiten Ram Manjhi has also been replaced by state police. While Z cover of Union Home Minister Haribhai P Chaudhary hasbeen scaled down to Y+.
