Shah said, 'Last year when I came to Jammu and Kashmir, we were in a coalition government. Today, President's rule is imposed here since we took back our support. Political parties regret when their govt falls but BJP is the only party which raised slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'. It shows BJP's patriotism'

BJP President Amit Shah hit out at the PDP government on Saturday while addressing his first rally in the state after breaking upwith the PDP.

Shah saidthat there was no point to stay in power in Jammu and Kashmir as their party could not achieve the "goal of equal development " with the PDP in the alliance government.

He said, "Last year when I came to Jammu and Kashmir, we were in a coalition government. Today, President's rule is imposed here since we took back our support. Political parties regret when their govt falls but BJP is the only party which raised slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'. It shows BJP's patriotism".

He said that they decided to break the alliance with the PDP due to the partiality that continuedbetween Jammu and Ladakh.

"There's no point for BJP to stay in power if the goal of equal development in Jammu & Kashmir isn't achieved. Modi govt made several efforts but partiality towards Jammu & Ladakh continued. That's when we decided that we should rather protest in opposition."

"We allotted 40 crores for development of Pashmina and 45 crores for Pampore haat. Two families from National Conference (NC) and People's Democratic Party (PDP) ruled Jammu and Kashmir for three generations but never did anything for Pashmina or Pampore haat", he said.

Shah was addressing a rally in Jammu and Kashmir to mark "historic martyrdom anniversary" of Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

The BJP on Tuesday withdrew its support from the PDP led government in Jammu and Kashmir. The state is now under governor's rule.
