BJP leader shot dead in Greater Noida by bike-borne assailants

A local BJP leader, Shiva Kumar, and his security guard were shot dead by bike-borne assailants in Greater Noida's Bisrakh on Thursday.

Kumar, who is also headman of Tigri village, owns two schools in Haibatpur.

The BJP leader was shot when he was returning home from the school with a driver and two personal security guards.

A girl who was injured when the BJP leader's car rammed into her during the attack, also died.

Reports say the bike-borne assailants overtook his SUV and sprayed bullets, killing Kumar and injuring others.

Kumar's car lost balance and hit a divider after shots were fired.
