Launching a searing attack on the Congress party and other opposition parties, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that those who failed in government failed in opposition too.
Briefing reporters on Narendra Modi's concluding remarks at the BJP national executive meet, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad referring to Congress he said ''Those who failed in government failed in opposition too.''
According to Prasad, PM highlighted how 50 crore people were lifted out of poverty during his speech.
Stating that opposition lies must be exposed, Modi said Congress party is not capable of leading an alliance as there is no specific leadership for the grand alliance.
No party was ready to accept Congress leadership, Prasad said and added that there was no leadership in the grand alliance whose policies are not clear and their intentions are corrupt, he said.
According to Prasad, PM reportedly told the BJP national executive that he want development with a humanitarian face.
PM policies are lauded all over the world, Prasad said and added that NDA government did not discriminate on the basis of caste and religion.
Gujarat was once Congress bastion but people have accepted our party, he said.
Modi also paid tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee and called a powerful phrase in his honour: 'Ajay Bharat, Atal BJP', Prasad said.
