Delhi Chief MinisterArvind Kejriwal welcomed the Supreme Court's ruling inthecase involving the Delhi government and the Centre's tussle regarding administrative control over the national capital.

Responding to the judgement he took to Twitter saying, "A big victory for the people of Delhi...a big victory for democracy..."

In a court hearing on Wednesday, Chief Justice of India(CJI) Dipak Misra said that theLieutenant Governor of Delhi(L-G) does not have the authority to act independently and is bound to act on the advice of ministers.

The CJI added that "Delhi does not have powers of a full 'state', it is a class apart".

The CJI also added that the Union and State government must cooperate and should work together.
