Bhumi Pednekar looks unrecognisable in the first look of 'Sonchiriya'

She transformed herself and gained extra kilos for her debut film. Bhumi Pednekar always goes an extra mile to look her part in the films she is part of. In a short span of time- she made her debut in Dum Lagake Haisha in 2015- Bhumi has time and again proved her mettle by taking up off-beat films which have been loved by critics as well as the audience. The actress will now play a dacoit in Abhishek Chaubey's Sonchiriya for which Bhumi appears to have lost weight to look the part. 

The actress shared the first look of her character on Twitter and the actress can be seen carrying a gun on her shoulder. The actress looks almost unrecognisable as she is dressed in a simple saree, with no make-up. The actress wrote, "SONCHIRIYA As we wrap up this unforgettable journey,Sharing a bit of me from this very special film (sic)"

The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput along with Bhumi and is set in 1970s Chambal when the area was infested by dacoits. Sushant's look was earlier shared and it appears that both the leads play dacoits in the film.
