'Bahubali 2' tops Google's trending list of 2017 for India

S S Rajamouli's blockbuster 'Bahubali 2' emerged as the top trend in a list released by Google on Wednesday. Like its Box Office collection, the movie rocked on Google search as well across all categories.

The others in the Indian list include 'Indian Premier League', 'List cricket score' and films like 'Dangal' and 'Half Girlfriend'.
'Dangal', which released in 2016 and a few months before 'Bahubali 2', gave tough competition to Rajamouli's blockbuster, both on the box office and Google searches.
However, most of the trending list in India included movies, like 'Badrinath ki Dulhaniya', 'Munna Michael', 'Jagga Jasoos' and 'Raees'. The only other topic to make the cut in the overall list was cricket.
Google categorised India tends in different categories. One of the interesting categories was 'How To...' where people searched for some of the most inane things like 'how to take a screenshot'. Bitcoins and Reliance's Jio Phone also attracted a lot of search volumes. People also wanted to know 'how to link Aadhaar with PAN'.
Google's trending list for India is divided in nine categories and has 10 search items/topics each.
