
Self-styled godman Asaram Bapu was found guilty in a 2013 rape case by Jodhpur Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Court, on Wednesday. He has been convicted for raping a minor girl in Manai village near Jodhpur on August 15, 2013. He is lodged in Jodhpur Central jail.

Narayan Sai: Asaram's son Narayan Sai was arrested and sent to jail for allegedly raping a woman from Surat, who also happened to be Asaram's disciple. He is also accused of sexually assaulting eight other girls.

Sant Rampal: Sant Rampal who considers himself as an incarnation of 15th-century poet Kabir has been charged with many crimes which include murder, forgery, and disruption of public proceedings and sedition. On November 19, 2014, he was arrested for holding illegal weapons.

Swami Nithyananda: Nityananda is accused of sexually assaulting a Tamil film actor from Chennai. He was seen at the Bidadi ashram with the actress several times. Leaked videos showing Nithyananda in compromising position with female followers nailed him. He was caught five days after he tried to evade arrest.

Ichchadhari Bhimanand (Shivmurti Dwivedi): The self-styled godman was arrested in February 2010 for running a sex racket.
