Former Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely rejoined the Congress party today.
The two-time Delhi minister had left the Congress to join the BJP in April last year ahead of the ahead of municipal elections.
It was not a happy decision for me (leaving Congress, joining BJP). It was a decision taken in pain. Ideologically I was a misfit there," Arvinder Singh Lovely said after rejoining the Congress.
Lovely was a minister in former chief minister Sheila Dikshit's government from 2003 till 2013.
"I am feeling quite good that he (Arvinder Singh Lovely) has come back. He realised that in the end , only one's own house is good," Sheila Dikshit said.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken welcomed Arvinder Singh Lovely back into the Congress.
