Army major's wife's body found in Delhi; throat was slit, car was run over her face

The body of the wife of an Army major was found in Delhi on Saturday.

Police said her throat had been slit and her face had been run over by a car, in order to try and make her killing look like an accident.

Her body was found in the Delhi cantonment area. She was 35.

Police said she had been dropped off at the Army base hospital by a driver in her husband's official car.

But the driver was unable to find her when he returned.He also learnt that she had not attended her scheduled physiotherapy class.

PTI quoted police as saying they had clues to the identity of the suspect.News reports Sunday meanwhile said another Army major was the prime suspect.
