Kashmir: Army chief Bipin Rawat meets family of slain jawan Aurangzeb

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat visited the family of Sepoy Aurangzeb in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch.

Aurangzeb was abducted by terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district while on his way back home on the occasion of Eid. His bullet-ridden body was recovered from Jammu and Kashmir's Gusoo area on June 14.

Aurangzeb was posted in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district and belonged to 44 Rashtriya Rifles.

Aurangzeb's brother on Saturday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to avenge his brother's gruesome death.

"I would urge Prime Minister Modi to avenge our brother's death. We want hundred of their people to pay the price for my brother's loss of life. We have reached out to the government, if the government is not able to avenge Aurangzeb's death, we know how to do it ourselves and we will do it," he told ANI.
