Andhra Pradesh farmers think Sunny Leone wards off 'evil eye'

Farmers in Andhra Pradesh's Nellore district seems to have found a novel way counter 'evil eye' and protect their crop. The farmers have replaced scarecrows with posters of Sunny Leone.

Locals here vouch for the fact that the switch seems to have helped in warding off 'evil-eye'.

Posters of bikini-clad Sunny Leone are put up instead of lifeless scarecrows bearing an interesting message on them in Telugu that translates into, "Don’t cry or feel jealous of me!”.

Sunny Leone is a Canadian born Indian actress who formerly worked as a porn star and now features in many Bollywood movies, item numbers and songs.

She was recently urged to pull out from a New Year event in Bengaluru.

"No permission has been granted for Time Creation's New Year's Eve event in which Sunny Leone was to take part," Karnataka Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy noted in December 2017.
