
The Reserve Bank of India on Friday introduced a new Rs 10 banknote in a new series and chocolate brown colour.
The new banknote will bear the signature of RBI Governor Urjit Patel and will have motif of Sun Temple, Konark on the reverse, depicting the country's cultural heritage, the central bank said in a statement. The dimension of the banknote will be 63 mm x 123 mm.
RBI also clarified that all the banknotes in the Rs 10 banknotes issued in earlier series will continue to be legal tender.
