Woman flyer says AirAsia staff misbehaved with her, files FIR

A woman flyer has filed an FIR against three AirAsiastaffmembers accusingthem of misbehaviour and harassment.

The flyer added that the AirAsia staff made her "feel likea terrorist."

She said the AirAsia staff took pictures of her boarding pass and made her waitinside the plane even after the other passengers had deboarded.

"They were taking pictures of my boarding pass and making me feel like a terrorist. It was around 1 am and all the passengers had deboarded but they didn't let me go," ANI reported the woman flyer as saying.

The alleged incident took place on November 3 on flight I5 1585 fromRanchi to Banglore via Hyderabad.

The woman flyer said she had complained to airline staff about a dirty toilet.

But in response, she said, the cabin steward scolded and touched her inappropriately.

"I found toilet of the aircraft dirty and complained. However, the cabin steward scolded and touched me inappropriately. I went back to my seat. My sister called me and I told her that the flight will take off in a few minutes so I am keeping the phone. The cabin steward who was standing near me frowned and rudely asked me to switch off my phone even though I had cut the call already," ANI reported the woman flyer as saying.

The woman flyer added that the cabin steward threatened to kick her off the flight, and that Air Asia staff humiliated her her before the police.

"He also threatened to kick me out of the flight. My co-passengers supported me but the AirAsia staff at Hyderabad took his side. The captain asked me if I am going to shut my mouth for the next 1-hour flight. They even humiliated me before the police," ANI reported her as saying.

The woman flyer added thaton reachingBengaluru airport, an AirAsia ground staff member asked her toapologise to the captain -- saying they would otherwise hand her over to the police.

"When I reached Bengaluru airport, one of the ground staff asked me to apologize to the Captain and cabin steward otherwise they will hand me over to the cops. Three of them were making a gang surrounding me and said you don't know who we are. We will take you outside and show you what we are. It was kind of a rape threat. I don't know who said it but I heard someone saying that we will rape you," ANI reported the woman flyer as saying.

A statement from AirAsia, ANI reported, on the other hand said the passenger had been verbally abusive with senior cabin crew.

The statement added that the crew tried to calm the flyer down so as to be able to resumetheir duties but that the passenger continued to be abusive.

The statement added that the airline followed standard operating procedure for disruptive passengers.
