Four labourers were killed in a fire that broke out in a shoe factory in New Delhi on Monday.

The blaze started at the Raja Park factory in Sultanpuri around 6.35 am. There were around a dozen labourers inside the factory when the fire broke out, the Delhi Fire Service officials said.

15 fire-brigade engines were immediately rushed to the spot. The four-storey building was reduced to ashes.

All four people who were killed in the fire were sleeping on the first floor of the building. One person has been injured and was rushed to the hospital.

The fire has been doused.
