Pandher, Koli get death in Nithari killings case

A special court has awarded death penalty to Moninder Singh Pandher and his domestic help Surendra Koli in the 2006 Nithari killings case.

This was ninth among the 16 cases in which Koli was convicted. Itwas also the third case in which both Pandher and Koli were convicted by the court.

In July, a CBI court had given death sentence to both Moninder Singh Pandher and Surinder Koli for the murder of Pinky Sarkar.

The case relates to the death of several minors who had gone missing in Nithari area in Noida, a suburb of Delhi.

The police had found traces of blood in Pandher's house and unearthed bones from drains around his premises leading to his arrest and later of his domestic help Koli.
