Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra was summoned to Enforcement Directorate(ED) today in connection with I-T department's notice to bitcoin users who were conducting transaction of more than 1 crore per day.
The ED is examining alleged money laundering and fraud in bitcoin transactions.
In December, the Reserve Bank of India(RBI) had cautioned users of bitcoin for the third time citing potential economic, financial, operational, legal, customer protection and security related risks.

The London-born businessman was earlier embroiled in the IPL scandal after he confessed to betting in Rajasthan Royals matches. The Supreme Court had imposed a life ban on Kundra from entering cricket stadium in India.
