'The foundations are fairly fragile': Ange Postecoglou slams Tottenham fans after Man City pick decisive win

Tottenham Hotspur brought their home campaign in the Premier League to an abrupt end after they were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City on Tuesday (May 14). While it was a losing end to the season, some Spurs fans celebrated the defeat as itdirectlydenied Arsenal an advantage in the Premier League title race.

After the match, Spurs manager Postecoglou was seen animated and questioned theclub’sfan foundation. According toPostecoglousome fans did not want Spurs to win and wanted Arsenal to come second in the title race.

DespiteCity’stitle interest, Tottenham had their own interest in the match as they needed a win to keep their Champions League qualification hopes alive. However, the defeat brought curtains on their season and they willneed only a point to finish in fifth place on Sunday.Aston Villa, onthe otherhand, haveofficiallybooked their place in the Champions League next season,doing so for the first time since the 1982-83 season.
