'I'm going to...,' outgoing PSG player Kylian Mbappe offers update on new club

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) footballer Kylian Mbappe has said that he'll announce his next club in due course. Mbappe made the comments after winning the French Cup with 2-1 victory over Lyon on Saturday (May 25). Mbappe praised his time at the club which played an important role in his rise in the football world.

"I was lucky enough to experience it. What I have had, I wouldn't experience anywhere else. Now I'm going to experience something else and I'm sure that will be magical too," he said after the game.

On why he hasn't revealed the name of club so far, Mbappe said: "Because I think the best thing to do is to finish saying goodbye. All I wanted was to finish well. There is a time for everything. I will announce my new club in due course. It will be only a few days away so there is no problem."

Asked if the new club announcement will come before the national side meets ahead of next month's Euro championship tournament, the French national captain said: "I still don't know, there are still some details. The most important thing was to win and to experience these final emotions."

The footballer, who is widely expected to land at LaLiga club Real Madrid, also spoke about his experience of playing seven seasons at PSG and said: "Nostalgia, emotion; It was cool. I always understood where I was, this unique experience of playing for PSG. Playing for PSG, I would recommend it."

Mbappe led the goal scoring charts in Ligue 1 for four consecutive seasons while playing for PSG and scored 255 goals in total of 305 appearances for the club.

He also has 27 goals to his name for another Ligue 1 club AS Monaco in 60 games across three seasons.
