Bayer Leverkusen script history with unbeaten season to lift maiden Bundesliga title

German powerhouse Bayer Leverkusen have scripted history in the Bundesliga after they won their maiden title with an unbeaten season on Saturday (May 18). Needing at least a draw on Saturday at home against Augsburg, Bayer beat their opposite number by 2-1 to claim the title with a historic silver lining. They are now the first and only club in the German top flight to lift the Bundesliga title while going unbeaten throughout the season.
