Zendaya starrer Euphoria Season 3 delayed indefinitely

For those who have been eagerly waiting for Euphoria Season 3, there is some bad news. The Zendaya starrer critically acclaimed show's new season has been delayed. As per reports, Sam Levinson is still working on scripts and the cast has reportedly been told to take up other assignments. This means, there is no fixed date on when the filming or pre-production work of the third season will begin.

In a statement to Deadline, HBO said, "HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season. In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities."

There is no firm production start date for Season 3 but filming was expected to begin within the next couple of months.

Euphoria Season 3 delayed

Back in November 2023, HBO had confirmed that the show's third season was expected to premiere in 2025 but that seems to have changed now. The makers had cautioned the viewers that there it would be a three-year gap between season 2 and 3 - season 2 had debuted in January 2022.

Euphoria features stars like Zendaya, Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and recurring player Colman Domingo who just received an Oscar nomination. Zendaya has won two Emmys for her portrayal of Rue in the series.

Between Seasons 2 and 3, the Euphoria family lost star Angus Cloud and producer Kevin Turen.
