Vin Diesel surprises 4-year-old Fast & Furious superfan battling Leukemia

Vin Diesel brought joy to a young fan at FuelFest held at Irwindale Speedway in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 1. The 56-year-old actor met 4-year-old Colton Pursglove, who is in remission from leukemia and fulfilled the child's dream of meeting his real-life hero.

"Colton was so giddy and couldn't believe he got to meet his real-life hero," said the boy’s mother, Jordan Pursglove, in a statement given to People.

Colton's admiration for Diesel was first shared publicly last November when Jordan posted a photo on Instagram of her son dressed as Diesel's iconic character, Dominic Toretto, from the Fast & Furious franchise.

"When your 4-year-old watches Fast & Furious movies on repeat and thinks he looks just like Dom, you gotta dress him up as his favorite movie character!" she captioned the post.

Co-founded by Cody Walker, brother of the late Fast & Furious star Paul Walker, and Chris Lee, FuelFest showcases "top modified, exotic, performance built, and rare cars from all over the world," along with live drifting and drag racing shows, according to its website.

Reach Out WorldWide, a nonprofit founded by Paul Walker, is listed as the event's official sponsor. The organisation brings first responders and other professionals to disaster areas and was inspired by the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, which claimed approximately 222,570 lives, according to the National Centers for Environmental Information.
