After Todd Philips’ ‘Joker’ became the most critically acclaimed film of the year and highest-grossing R-rated film of all time with more than $1 billion in the box office, there are talks for a sequel. It's India numbers are also great as it is biggest DC comics character based film of all-time in the country.

Talks of a sequel have been in the news ever since the film 'Joker'was discussed at almost every film festival this year and there is a buzz of the film making it the Oscars in the top categories, including best film and best actor.

Now, according to a report in the Hollywood Reporter, a sequel is most likely getting formalised as the makers are in a final-stage discussion process. The report asserts that the director-actor duo is “likely to reteam”. How excited are we if this news?

Reportedly, the director will write the screenplay to the 'Joker' sequel along with co-writer Scott Silver, with whom he worked on the original’s script.

Meanwhile, DC is going to get a fresh lease of life with the caped crusader Batman already being shot by Matt Reeves, with Robert Pattinson in the lead.
