Will something come in between Vasya’s good luck and destiny? A news season of Taaza Khabar will pose that questions and answer them for you. The show will be back this September and will stream from September 27 on Disney+ Hotstar.
Produced by Rohit Raj and Bhuvan Bam under the banner of BB Ki Vines Productions and directed by Himank Gaur, the series brings some new and old faces together. The new season will feature veteran actor Jaaved Jaaferi along with Shriya Pilgaonkar, Prathamesh Parab, Deven Bhojani, and Shilpa Shukla in prominent roles.
Taaza Khabar producer on getting Jaaved Jaaferi onboard for the show
Producer Rohit Raj on being a fanboy of Jaaved Jaaferi and roping him for an important role in the show, said, “I have been watching Boogie Woogie since childhood, and many people might not know this because of my age now, but I used to dance a lot as a child. I really liked dancing, whether it was Jaaved Sir's Boogie Woogie and or Takeshi's Castle, or any of the movies he made.”
He added, “I think I have always been a huge fan. The day sir said yes, it felt like we had achieved something. That was a very special moment for us.”
Jaaved Jaaferi will play the role of a man named Yusuf Akhtar, who can pose a problem in Bhuvan’s character’s life.
On Taaza Khabar season 2, Bhuvan Bam said, “Taaza Khabar Season 2 has been on everyone’s minds and I cannot be happier as we announce that Vasya is back! Shooting season 2 has been emotionally challenging and I could see myself in Vasya’s eyes and his journey to balance all that is happening around him. My character graph grows this season and embarks upon a journey of redemptions and realizations. Moreover, I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with the iconic Jaaved Jaaferi this time and learnt a lot from him.”
