For a man like Shah Rukh Khan, who has ruled Bollywood for over three decades, not being busy shooting for a film must be an unusual thing. Post the debacle of 'Zero' his last release that came out in December 2018, Khan has not announced any new project.
There have been speculations that SRK would do Rakesh Sharma's biopic but it eventually went to Vicky Kaushal. There were also reports that suggested that SRK had signed a film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali but those too turned out to be rumours.
Now, the actor has himself clarified that he has not signed any new project and taking a break to enjoy some quality time with his family. "I have no film with me right now. I am not working on any film. Usually what happens is when your one film is coming to an end, you begin work on your next film and I get involved within 3-4 months. But this time I am just not feeling like…My heart doesn’t allow me to..I just felt that I should rather take time out, watch films, listen to stories and read more books," SRK said to a film magazine recently.
“Even my kids are in their college stage…my daughter is going to college and my son is about to finish his studies. So I just want to spend more time with my family,” the actor further added.
Shah Rukh may not be facing the camera, but the actor is still busy with his production work. He last produced film 'Badla', which released earlier in 2019, was declared a hit. He is also producing Netflix series Bard Of Blood which stars Emraan Hashmi and Shobhita Dhulipala in lead roles. Recently, he announced that he would be dubbing for Mufasa while his son Aryan Khan will be voicing Simba in the Hindi version of Disney’s 'The Lion King.'
