Sara Ali Khan gets trolled for visiting temple, celebrating Rakhi

Trolls questioned her religious identity as she celebrated a Hindu festival.
On Saturday, Sara Ali Khan along with her brother Ibrahim and mother Amrita Singh made a visit to a Shani temple in Mumbai. The three were seen offering their prayers inside the temple and Sara was later seen distributing clothes and food to beggars outside.
In a video that has been doing the rounds of social media, Sara can be seen asking the media persons to not click her or make a video while she distributed clothes among the beggars.
While a gesture like this is mostly lauded by people, there were some on social media who chose to troll the young actress. They seemed to have a problem with her name and her Muslim identity and asked her to visit Mecca instead.
Some even accused her of doing charity to gain publicity and more money.
A day later, as Sara shared pictures of Rakhi celebrations at home with her brothers Ibrahim and Taimur, trolls were back at it- questioning her religious identity and pointing out that how Rakhi is a Hindu festival.
Sara is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan, a Muslim and Amrita Singh, a Sikh. She has had a mixed parentage.
Ideally, an act of philanthropy should not be associated to any religion but Internet also attracts unnecessary negative comments on almost everything nowadays as there is no accountability for it.
