On Sunday, two unidentified individuals reportedly fired multiple gunshots outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's Mumbai home - Galaxy Apartments. While the Mumbai police have launched a full-blown investigation in the matter, the actor's father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan has spoken up about the incident and called it a mere 'publicity stunt' by the suspects.
Salim Khan spoke to CNN News 18 and was asked to comment on the incident. The veteran said, "There is nothing to tell. They just want publicity, there is no need to worry."
Anmol Bishnoi claims responsibility
Hours after the firing incident, a post on Facebook surfaced which was allegedly uploaded by Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. In the post Anmol reportedly claims responsibility for the firing, calling the incident outside Salman’s Galaxy Apartment the ‘first and last warning’.
On Sunday evening, police sources identified one of the suspects captured on CCTV as Vishal alias Kalu, a shooter in the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Previous death threats to Salman
This isn't the first time that Salman Khan has been targeted. Earlier, he had received death threats from Canada-based fugitive gangster Goldy Brar who had declared that the actor was on his hit-list.
In 2023, Mumbai Police filed an FIR against gangsters Bishnoi and Goldy, along with another individual, following an email threatening Salman at his Mumbai residence.
