Ryan Murphy gets Sharon Stone, Sarah Paulson & others for Netflix debut 'Nurse Ratched'

Ryan Murphy has assembled a starry cast for his Netflix series ‘Nurse Ratched’ including Sharon Stone, Finn Wittrock, Jon Jon Briones, Charlie Carver, Judy Davis, Harriet Harris, Cynthia Nixon, Hunter Parrish, Amanda Plummer, and Corey Stoll and Sarah Paulson.

Sarah was the first to join the cast.

In an Instagram post, Ryan wrote: “[A] true murderers’ row of talent. So many of these actors are supremely talented folks who Sarah and I have both longed to work with.”

‘Nurse Ratched’ will currently run for two seasons, a total of 18 episodes. The series will begin in 1947 and will track Ratched as she changes herself from an average nurse into the monstrous authority figure. The story follows the plot in the Ken Kesey novel ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ and subsequent film. Sarah Paulson will play the infamous nurse.

Ryan Murphy will work as an executive producer on the series. Michael Douglas, who produced the film, will also serve as an executive producer. Aleen Keshishian, Margaret Riley and Jacob Epstein of Lighthouse Management & Media will also executive produce. Evan Romansky, who created and wrote the project, will co-executive produce.

Sarah will produce along with Paul Zaentz from the Saul Zaentz Company. The Saul Zaentz Company controls the rights to the film. Fox 21 Television will produce.

With ‘Ratched’, Ryan will make his Netflix debut. He is also working on ‘The Politician’ for Netflix, a political satire led by Ben Platt.
