Actors talk about their Tony Awards nomination.
A day after the announcement of the 73rd Tony Nominations, nominees gathered in Manhattan to share in the joy of being recognized for their work in the theatre.
Annette Bening received a nod for her leading role in the revival of 'All My Sons.'
"It's so gratifying to be a part of this ensemble cast doing 'All My Sons.' I feel so lucky to be in the group that I'm in. We all get along very well. We love the play, put our hearts into it as much as we can each time we do it."
She's up against Laurie Metcalf for her portrayal of Hillary Clinton in the new play 'Hillary and Clinton,'which she called cathartic.
"I've talked to some of them afterwards because we - Bill and Hillary say things to each other that we've maybe imagined happened behind closed doors. But to be able to see the words and the emotion actually come out of them."
Film star Adam Driver was at a loss for words in describing his nod.
"I haven't articulated what it means, but it means a lot. I know that much, I feel the weight of it."
Veteran stage actress Rosemary Harris and playwright Terrence McNally were earlier announced as recipients of special Tonys for lifetime achievement in theatre.
The 73rd Tony Awards, hosted by James Corden, will be presented during a gala ceremony broadcast live on CBS on June 9 at New York's Radio City Music Hall.
