The money spent on making Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s latest film, ‘2.0’ will blow your mind away. The film directed by Shankar has apparently been made on a budget of $75 million, that is equivalent to Rs 500 crore.It was revealed on Twitter as Shankar tweeted: “India’s first 75 million dollar VFX wonder” with a poster of the film.

He also mentioned in a tweet that more than 3,000 technicians around the world have worked to make the film a reality. See new posters of the film.

The teaser of '2.0'will be released in 2D and 3D in theatres on the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi on September 13.

With the film, Bollywood filmmaker-producer Karan Johar will be bringing the film to North Indian audiences. He tweeted: “2.0 marks the first ever 3D Teaser and you can watch it premiere at a PVR near you.”

‘2.0’ is a sequel to Shankar and Rajinikanth’s Enthiran and will see the superstar play the role of a scientist in the film.

Earlier, on the occasion of his birthday, Akshay Kumar, who will also be seen in the film tweeted: “Here’s a special birthday treat for all my fans. Sharing with you my most powerful character and one which has probably stayed with me for the longest time. I am the dark superhero for those who don’t have a voice! HUMANS BEWARE!!!”

The film has music composed by AR Rahman and is being produced by Lyca Production. It is touted to become the most expensive film to be made in India.

The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
