Pushpa 2: The Rule trailer out, netizens wonder why Rashmika never gets a normal husband on screen

Puspa 2 The Ruletrailer dropped on Sunday (Nov 17) and netizens seem to be wondering why the lead actress Rashmika Mandanna never gets a normal husband on screen. Rashmika is seen married to the lead actor Allu Arjun in the second part of the hit franchise.

This question came up after Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal which starred Rashmika and Ranbir Kapoor in leading roles. In the film, Rashmika is seen playing the love interest of Ranbir’s character. Ranbir is toxic and cheats on her in the film. The film also has undertones of domestic abuse.

Meanwhile, in the new film, Pushpa 2, Rashmika again has an abnormal relationship with her partner. In the film, she reprises her role as Srivalli in the sequel to Sukumar's 2021 blockbuster action thriller Pushpa: The Rise.

As soon as the trailer for Pushpa 2 dropped, X users started sharing a still from the trailer of Pushpa 2 in which Allu Arjun's character is seen doing his signature Pushpa step with Rashmika's leg. Allu's voiceover says in the trailer, “Srivalli is my wife. I'll show the world what happens when a husband listens to his wife.”

What the netizens think of Rashmika and Allu’s relationship in the film

Sharing the trailer, an X user wrote, “bichari ko Normal Husbands kyu nahi milte (poor girl, why doesn't she get normal husbands) (pissed emoji).” Another one shared the same still juxtaposed against the scene from Animal, in which Ranbir's character Rannvijay threatens Rashmika for speaking against his father Balbir Singh (played by Anil Kapoor). The user wrote in the caption, “Perfectly balanced, as all things in life should be.”

Pushpa 2 trailer frenzy

The trailer of Pushpa 2: The Rule was unveiled in Patna, Bihar. Actors Allu, Rashmika, director Sukumar, and other cast and crew members of the film were in the city for the launch. It was a massive trailer launch event which saw people clamouring for space and which led to a stampede-like situation.

Pushpa fetched Allu Arjun his maiden National Award for Best Actor, the first ever for a Telugu actor.

In Pushpa 2 The Rise, we will get to see Fahadh Faasil's character pitted against Allu Arjun’s. Sreeleela will also be seen in the sequel in a special dance song alongside Allu. In the first part, Samantha Ruth Prabhu shook a leg with Allu on "Oo Antava".
