Priyanka Chopra starrer 'The Sky Is Pink' to premiere at Toronto Film Festival, Farhan Akhtar shares first look

Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar's much-anticipated film 'The Sky Is Pink' is all set to premiere at the prestigious Toronto Film Festival in September. 

Announcing the same, Farhan took to Twitter to share the first look of the film, which features the principal cast. The image has Priyanka and Farhan- who play a married couple- looking at the sunset with their two children at the beach. Actors Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf play their children in the film.  

"Hearts filled with gratitude and joy! Proud to share the news of the world premiere of #TheSkyIsPink at the  @TIFF_net  on September 13. Releasing in cinemas on October 11!(sic)," Farhan tweeted.

Helmed by Shonali Bose, who has in the past made films like 'Margarita, With A Straw', the film is based on the real – life story of Aisha Chaudhary, a motivational speaker who had been diagnosed by pulmonary fibrosis. 

The film is Priyanka's first Hindi film post marriage to Nick Jonas. Her last Bollywood release was 'Jai Gangaajal' which released in 2016. 'The Sky Is Pink' will be actress Zaira Wasim's last film as the 'Dangal' star recently announced her retirement from acting. 

Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, the film is slated to release on October 11.
