While some of us missed it, many others spotted a Starbucks coffee cup in one of the scenes of the recently aired ‘Game of Thrones’ episode, ‘The Last of the Starks’. Episode 4 of the last season aired on Monday as it featured a number of heartbreaks and farewells after Daenerys Targaryen and team left for King’s Landing to fight Queen Cersei, supporting Dany’s claim to the throne. But this is not why we are here. We are here for the cup. It featured in a scene where Dany, Jon and others can be seen sitting on the high table at Winterfell hall where everyone is celebrating their victory over the Night King and his army. Zoom into the scene and you will spot the odd cup. As soon as it was spotted by fans, stills of the scene went viral on the internet.

HBI tried to cover up by posting funny comments around it. Like in one, they said, "the latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered herbal tea."

Bernie Caulfield, one of the executive producers of HBO's series, apologised to fans. "I can't believe (it)," she said in an interview with New York's WNYC radio on Monday. "Our onset prop people and decorators are so on it a 1,000 per cent. We're sorry! Westeros was the first place to actually have Starbucks," she added.

Reports now suggest that the HBO team has digitally removed the cup from episode 4 of ‘Game of Thrones’. The cup, however, continues to be seen on Hotstar.

Meanwhile, Starbucks also made light of the incident and tweeted, "TBH we're surprised she didn't order a Dragon Drink.”

And then tweeted a photo of their latest drink that has dragonfruit in it. Check it out:
