John Abraham in poster for 'Batla House'
Looks like John Abraham is following on the footsteps of Akshay Kumar, picking up films on its patriotic meter. Taking to Twitter on Friday, John Abraham shared the first poster of his next film ‘Batla House’, based on the real-life infamous encounter in New Delhi.
‘Batla House’, the film is based on the real-life incident that shook the nation as a shootout took place in the year 2008.
Sharing the first poster, John wrote: "Every story has two points of view. One wrong. The other right. But what if the lines are blurred? Very very blurred!"
John will be essaying the role of a policeman who was possibly involved in the case. It is directed by Nikkhil Advani and is written by Ritesh Shah.
Announcing the release date, Nikkhil tweeted, "Have waited for a long time for this story to be told. Unveiling an explosive account of one of the most controversial events to have rocked modern India."
The film is slated to release on August 15, 2019, and will clash with Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Brahmastra’ starring lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, along with Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Made in China’.
John was last seen in ‘Satyameva Jayate’ with Manoj Bajpayee.
