'On the Basis of Sex' trailer: Felicity Jones takes on the American judiciary

Based on Ruth Bader Ginsburg-- the second female Supreme Court Justice of USA-- 'On the Basis of Sex' explores Ginsburg's early case where she teams up with her husband Marty (played by Armie Hammer) as she confronts the age-old patriarch tradition and fights for equal rights for women in America in the 1970s. 

Jones, who is well known for her role in `Theory of Everything`, plays the young lawyer with conviction. 

The film is slated to hit the theatres on December 25, which is also Justice Ginsburg`s 25th anniversary on the Supreme Court.

Directed by Mimi Leder of `The Leftovers`, the film also stars Justin Theroux, Kathy Bates, Sam Waterston, Jack Reynor, and Cailee Spaeny in pivotal roles.
