In the wee hours of Sunday (April 14) morning, two unidentified persons opened fire outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai.
As perreports, two motorbike-borne people firedshots in the air at around 5 am. The new updates claim that Salman was the target of the shooters, andhe was present inside his home at the time gunshots were fired.
Mumbai's crime branch has startedinvestigation, and security has been beefed up outside Salman's Galaxy apartments in Bandra.
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Takes Action
After the shocking incident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde hada word with Salman regarding the incident. As per ANI,CM Shinde had a telephone conversation with Salman Khan after two unidentified men opened fire outside the actor's residence in Bandra, Mumbai.
As per the news agency, Shinde had discussions with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and suggested increasing the security of Salman Khan.

A few hours afterthree gunshots werefired, the first CCTV visuals reportedly showedthe two shooters fleeing on their bikes after openingfireoutsideKhan's building. A short clip that has gone viral on social media showsthe accused bikers.

According to reports,Bandra Police has registered a case against an unknown person in the case. In a post of X, ANI revealed that Bandra police are searching for the accused and are looking to catch them as soon as possible.
After the incident, security has been beefed up outside Salman's residence. Members of the Forensic team were seen marking the bullet marks, that hit the first floor of Salman's home.
There is no official reaction from the police or Khan's family on the shooting incident.
In the past two years, Salman has received multiple death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He is also expected to behind today'sfiring near Khan's home.
