Maalik: Rajkummar Rao to play intense role in his next action thriller

Rajkummar Rao is on a roll this year. After the blockbuster success of Stree 2, the actor has announced the first look of his project Maalik.
On Saturday (Aug 31), Rao is celebrating his 40th birthday, and marking the big day, the actor has announced his next project with a first intense poster. Taking to his Instagram handle, the actor shared the announcementposter.
In the fierce first image, the actor is donning an intense role, as he's seen standing on a jeep with a gun in his hand. The tagline of the movie reads, “Paida nahi hue to kya, ban toh sakte hain.” In the caption, the actor shared that the shoot of the movie has started. Sharing the poster, he wrote, ''#Maalik ki duniya mein aapka Swagat hai. Shoot shuru ho chuka hai, jald hi mulaqat hogi!''
In the action-packed movie, the actor will play the role of a gangster. The movie has been directed by Pulkit, who helmed Bhumi Pednekar starrer Bhakshak. No release date has been announced yet.
The movie has beenproduced by Kumar Taurani under the Tips Films banner and Jay Shewakramani's Northern Lights Films.

Rao is currently basking in the success of his movie Stree 2.Released on August 15, the actor reprises his fan-favourite role of Vicky in the movie. Apart from Rao, the movie features Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi.
In two weeks, the movie crossed the Rs 550 crore mark at theworldwide box office. The other movie that he's currently working on is Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video co-starring Triptii Dimri.
