Lok Sabha Polls 2019: Priyanka Chopra, Rekha cast their votes early as stars urge Mumbai to come and vote

Priyanka Chopra, Rekha were some of early voters on Monday morning.

Mumbai votes today in phase 4 of Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The city that houses some of the most prominent industrialists and the entire Hindi film industry is likely to see a big turnout. Early voters on Tuesday morning included actors like Rekha, Priyanka Chopra, Paresh Rawal and Urmila Matondkar going to the polling booth to exercise their rights. Priyanka Chopra, who now shuttles between India and America post marriage to singer Nick Jonas, went to the booth with her mother Madhu Chopra to cast her vote and later to Twitter to post a selfie of her inked finger.

"This is the moment that matters.... Every vote is a voice that counts. #LokSabhaElections2019," Priyanka tweeted along with her selfie.

New to politics, and a candidate from Mumbai-North, actress Urmila Matondkar was also seen casting her vote at a polling booth in Bandra.

BJP MP Paresh Rawal came in with wife Swaroop Sampat to cast his vote.

Actor Ravi Kishan, who is contesting from Gorakhpur on a BJP ticket was also seen in the early hours on Monday in a booth in Goregaon, casting his vote.

Many of the Bollywood actors took to Twitter to urge the people of Mumbai to come out and vote.

Prominent actors like Amitabh Bachchan along with his family, Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir Khan are expected to be seen at polling booths later in the day.
