Wamiqa Gabbi pulled a fast one as she owned the stage while walking at the India Couture Week 2024 on the opening night, turning showstopper for couturiers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. She was accompanied byHeeramandi actor Taha Shah as they walked to wows and claps with everyone visibly happy to see such fresh faces together.

The 2024 edition of India Couture Week started on a high note as designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla showcased designs from their new label, Asal and Mard.

For the night, Wamiqa was dressed in two outfits – both in stark contrast with one another buttied with the essence of haute couture, expert craftsmanship, heavy embroidery and standout silhouette.

The show was all about bringing to life age-old practices with a modern interpretation, drama and pose. It was all about age-old chikankari, zardozi and thread embroideries that were a mainstay of the show.

Wamiqa complimented their designs and clothes as she walked confidently to Indian classical music. She paused, then walked and then posed – letting everything take it all in. The actress looked regal in a royal ivory lehenga set with a plunging neckline blouse. Instead of a dupatta to go with the attire, the designers added a beautiful headgear that imitated the designs made on her lehenga.

She then closed the show with Taha Shah in another stunning look. This time it was a red and gold flair lehenga. The blouse was a standout piece. The dress came with a matching dupatta that she draped on one shoulder and let the other loosely wrappedaround her wrist. The jewellery again was the highlight of her look as designers adorned her thick long hair with gold-toned jewellery that sparkled against her black mane.

We can’t believe how amazing Wamiqa looked last night. Can’t wait for more stunning looks from the fashion week.
