Michigan, United States
While many big Hollywood stars and artists are showing their support for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, Shazam star Zachary Levi has officially endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 US presidential elections.
The DC star was seen at the Trump rally in Michigan on Saturday, where he moderated a talk between Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, shocking his fans.
“I’m not gonna take too much time, but I did just wanna just give you a little context about why Shazam is sitting here talking to you about these various things,” Levi addressed the crowd.

“I grew up in my family that was Christian conservative, that was pretty much the lane that we were in. My parents were Kennedy Democrats that then turned into Reagan Republicans, and they taught me to have a healthy level of distrust for the government and a healthy level of distrust for industry that runs amok.”
Levi previously supported Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who dropped out of the election race. While in a “perfect world” he would have cast his vote for RFK. Jr., he now expresses his support for the Republican candidate Trump.
“We don’t live in a perfect world,” Levi said. “In fact, we live in a very broken one. We live in a country that has been hijacked by a lot of people who want to take this place way off the cliff. And we want to stop that, right?”
The crowd cheered the Hollywood star as he used Trump’s slogan, “We are going to make America great again!”

Netizens react
Netizens expressed a mixed reaction to his endorsement with some saying, “This is the coolest thing Zachary Levi has done in forever” and “Based”. Another user posted, “Love him!” A third wrote, “Much respect.”
While others said, “Well that’s disappointing to learn.” Another wrote, “I’d say he destroyed his movie career but he did that a long time ago all on his own.”
Levi previously admitted he wasn’t a Republic fan in 2020 in his tweet, “I am no fan or supporter of Trump, and I find his behaviour to be vulgar, callous, narcissistic, and lacking empathy. And while I’m not a Conservative, I know many who backed 45 not because they liked him, but because he was the only candidate they felt cared about their needs.”
In recent years, Levi made headlines for his controversial takes including criticism of the SAG-AFTRA strike and Pfizer vaccine.
