Britain's King Charles III will be attending the Easter Mattins Service at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle on Easter Sunday, the Buckingham Palace has announced. The King will be joined at the service by Queen Camilla and other members of the Royal Family.
On Tuesday, King Charles took part in an event with community faith leaders from across the UK at the palace grounds.
The event was to celebrate those taking part in the Windsor Leadership Trust programme, which encourages and supports dialogue, harmony and understanding at a time of heightened international tension.
It is believed that Prince William and Kate Middleton will not be attending the Sunday service following Kate's cancer diagnosis.Last Thursday, the King was photographed in a car being driven out of Buckingham Palace.
Sunday's appearance will be the King's most significant public appearance and major royal engagement since his cancer diagnosis earlier in February.
Much like on Christmas Day, several members of the Royal Family gather together to celebrate Easter and are photographed walking into the service.
The King's Easter Sunday engagement will be seen as the monarch making a move to reassure the public following the news of his illness which has left many shocked.

The 75-year-old is undergoing cancer treatment but has been carrying out low-key official duties behind palace walls.
The King has been receiving treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer since early February, which was discovered after he was treated for an enlarged prostate in January.

Meanwhile, Princess Of Wale, Kate Middleton revealed she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy in a video message to the nation on Friday.
She said it had "taken time" to explain her diagnosis to her children in a way that is "appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be okay".
The statement followed weeks of global social media speculation and conspiracy theories about her whereabouts and well-being after she had not been seen on official engagements since last December.
