King Charles attends Easter Sunday service with Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle after cancer diagnosis

Britain's KingCharles III attended the annual Easter church service in Windsor on Sunday (March 31). This was the Monarch's first public appearance at any major royal event afterhis cancer diagnosis in February.
Charles was joined by his wife Queen Camila atSt George's Chapel. Reassuring the public that he's fine as he continues to receive cancer treatment, Charles waved at the crowd with a smile. As a precaution to his ongoing cancer treatment, the King andQueen were seatedapart from the rest of the royal family, as reported by People.
Charles' Easter outing comes after he skipped the pre-Easter church service at Worcester Cathedral, where a recorded message of the monarch was played. Camillarepresented her husband during the Royal Maundy Service.
The 75-year-old has been receiving treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer that he was diagnosed with when he was treated for an enlarged prostate in January.
Charles andCamilla were joined by the other royal members atSt George's Chapel, the resting place ofQueen Elizabeth.
However, Charles' son Prince William and Kate Middleton skipped the annual Easter Sunday church service due to Kate's cancer diagnosis and ongoing treatment.
Over the years, Kate and Williamhave been regular attendees of the Easter church service. Last year, in 2023, the couple with their three kids Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5 attended the royal family service.
The other royal family members who attended the service were: Prince Andrew, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who is currently battling skin cancer, Princess Anne,Vice Admiral Sir Prince Edward, Sophie, Countess of Wessex among others.
Post-cancer diagnosis, the Kingstepped back from public duties as he was advised by the doctors to postpone public-facing duties. However, hecontinued withhis state duties.
Buckingham Palace said,"Throughout this period, his majesty will continue to undertake state business and official paperwork as usual."
