A$AP Rocky just made his debut on the runway and it was huge! As expected, Rihanna was spotted cheering him on seated in the front row whileA$AP Rocky walked for the Paris Fashion Week Menswear Spring/Summer 2025.
The hotly anticipated show had the rapper’s name in the invitation and was called: “A$AP Rocky: AMERICAN SABOTAGE". It was a special runway because it wasn’t just fashion that was spoken about but it was a political satire too.
The show announced the launch of the rapper's AWGE collection during the Paris Fashion Week. The collection promised to intertwine art with activism, with the express aim of challenging the status quo.
On the runway, models wore some eye-catching clotheswith huge flags that read “Don’t Be Dumb”, as a nod to the title of the rapper's long-teased upcoming album.
The show was held in The Hôtel de Maisons - a French stately home. Models walked to pumping rap music and flashing lights. At the venue, guests were given fans printed with anti-war symbols to cool themselves off as they waited. The mansion was flooded with political posters mocking articles with headlines like, “Every US citizen has agreed to be more than happy to be pissed off.”
There were also posters like, "Pull up your pants, no one wants to see your underwear," highlighting the intersection between style and politics and A$AP's use of fashion as an act of protest.
Prior to the show, A$AP Rocky told GQ in an interview that the show would be a "political satire".
