Leaked images of David Corenswet as Superman from James Gunn's film gets a thumbs up from fans

The world just got a glimpse of the new Superman. Photos from the set of the movie have gone viral on social media, revealing the look of actor David Corenswet as the superhero.

The actor is seen wearing the classic costume that’s heavily inspired by the comics. He is seen in the iconic red-and-blue costume with the cape, which is more vibrant and unlike the costumes seen in Zack Snyder’s Superman.

Ever since the images of the actor in costume went viral, fans of the superhero franchise have been rejoicing and stating that David Corenset is the perfect fit to play the character. Along with David Corenswet, Edi Gathegi was also clicked on the sets.

Edi, who is playing Mister Terrific in the upcoming film, was also seen in a costume that matches the ones in the comics.

The film has Rachel Brosnahan playing Lois Lane. The actress can also be seen in the leaked images. Fans seem to have liked her look as well.

The reboot is being helmed by James Gunn who is now being lauded for his casting.

According to James Gunn, the film will be centered around Superman’s earlier part of his life where he is trying to reconcile with his family on Earth and coming to terms with his powers.

There are a lot of expectations for the film as it has to be seen what James Gunn does with the most popular superhero after the consistent failures of the previous ventures of DC with him.

Other cast members of the film include Nicholas Hoult as the villain Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, Terence Rosemore, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, and Wendell Pierce. The film is scheduled to release in theatres in 2025.
