Kris Jenner reveals doctors suggest removing ovaries after detecting a tumor

Kris Jenner shocked her fans with a health update as the matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family revealed that her doctors have detected a tumour in her ovaries and suggest removing the organ.

During this week’s episode of The Kardashians season five, Kris made this shocking revelation to her daughters and partner Corey Gamble. Among her daughters, she dropped the news to Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner first.

What Kris told her daughters and partner

She said, “I wanted to tell you guys something…I went to the doctor and had my scan. They found.. and this just makes me really emotional..but they found a cyst and a little tumour on my ovary.” This was during a recent outing with the family in Colorado.

She continued, “Dr. A said I’ve gotta have my ovaries taken out, and I’m emotional about it because they came in handy with you guys. That’s where all my kids were conceived, and that’s where they were grown, in my tummy. So this is a very sacred place to me.”

As she relayed this information, the family got very emotional. Kim Kardashian expressed how “sad” she was to know of this and that she can’t imagine what she must be going through.

Kris said, “Listen, if I can get through the hip replacement, I can get through this. I’m not nervous to be put to sleep. I’m not nervous with Dr. A. She’s the best doctor in the world. But then you go to do it and… it’s so real.”

In the episode of The Kardashians, Kris then told Kourtney Kardashian on the phone. Kourtney replied explaining that she understands what Kris must be going through because it’s your “womanly power”. Kourtney said, “It’s your womanly power, and it doesn’t mean that it’s taking away who she is or what she’s experienced, but I would feel this sentimental feeling of what it’s created.”

Kris cried throughout the phone talk and shared that it’s a sign of her getting older and being officially done with a part of her life, which is sad: “It’s a whole chapter that’s just closed.”
