Kate Beckinsale gets furious at trolls who body shamed her for losing weight

Speaking about online hate and trolls attacking celebrities over how they look, their shape and size, actress Kate Beckinsale slammed those who pushed stars to take extreme measures to look a certain type.

Firing back at social media after one Instagram user made a comment about her weight, Kate Beckinsale shared a video on the photo-sharing app as she tied her hair while wearing a pink ensemble. She captioned the video: “Let’s have a toast for the douchebags. Let’s have a toast for the assholes. Let’s have a toast for the scumbags.”

Kate got angry at social media users for being nasty in their personal remarks

In the video, we could see Kate tying her hair in a net because someone on the internet pointed out that she was not behaving age-appropriate.

While one commented that she doesn’t do “age-appropriate things”, another wrote, “Go do some squats. I think your ass ran away.”

Taking them down one by one, Kate Beckinsale said that the sudden weight loss was because of the constant “stress and grief” she has felt because of watching her stepfather dying “quite shockingly” and her mother having stage 4 cancer.

She said, “I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief, quite quickly and then I was in the hospital for six weeks because the grief had burned a hole in my oesophagus which made me vomit copious amounts of blood. I found eating very hard and I just worked very very hard on a movie that was actually quite triggering because it also involved the theme of the death of my father.”

She added furiously, “So I’m not really concerned about what you think about my ass. Maybe you should worry about your own f***** ass. I suggest shoving something up like a large pineapple or a brick.”
