John Travolta, Liam Hemsworth among stars at the red carpet for 'G'Day USA' gala

Some of Australia's biggest stars hit the red carpet for the 16th annual 'G'Day USA' Black Tie Gala event in Los Angeles on Saturday (January 26).

The awards honour prominent Australians who are deemed to have made a significant contribution to the relationship between the United States and Australia.

Singer Helen Reddy was given a Lifetime achievement award for her work in music and actor Liam Hemsworth received a G'Day USA Excellence in Film award for his acting efforts.

Also in attendance at the gala were stars including John Travolta, Isla Fisher and pop band 5 Seconds of Summer.
