Gojo and Sukuna fought in Shinjuku for several chapters. Followinga thrilling battle that might have gone anyway, Sukuna won by using his technique to circumvent Gojo's Infinity and extend the target to the entire universe.
InChapter 236, he was able to slice through Gojo's body, thereby ending the battle. Gojo'sbody was left there, andviewers were presentedwith a flashback of Gojo meeting up with his old comrades in a realm between life and death. There,it was strongly hintedthat Gojo had died.
