Indian fantasy thriller series, Gyaarah Gyaarah opened to a great response as it released earlier this year. The series featured actors Kritika Kamra, Raghav Juyal, Dhairya Karwa, and Aakash Dixit in pivotal roles and was produced by Sikhya Entertainment and Dharma Productions.

Indian producer Guneet Monga, who is easily one of the most influential producers of her generation, continues to push the boundaries of storytelling with her latest release, Gyaarah Gyaarah. Known for her Oscar-winning short film The Elephant Whisperers and critically acclaimed productions like The Lunchbox and Gangs of Wasseypur, Guneet Monga Kapoor got talking about what fans of the show can expect from the makers.

Guneet spoke to WION exclusively about intensive process behind its creation and her aspirations for season 2. She said, "We've poured our hearts into crafting this show. The concept resonated deeply with us, which is why we dedicated one full year to developing the project and securing the rights for an Indian adaptation. Our primary goal was to capture that magic, and hence, the title played a crucial role."

She added, “Naming it 'Gyaarah Gyaarah' was a deliberate choice, signaling to audiences from the outset that the series is imbued with mysticism.”

When asked about the possibility of a second season for Gyaarah Gyaarah, Monga responded with enthusiasm, “I hope so! It’s my dream.”

On what we can expect from her future projects, Guneet Monga Kapoor said, "I'm eager to make adventure films. Horror is another genre I am yet to tackle. My ultimate aspiration is to create content akin to 'Black Panther,' 'Crazy Rich Asians,' or 'Jurassic Park' - productions that will travel the whole world. There's still so much more to explore. I feel like I'm just at the beginning of this journey."

Gyaarah Gyaarah follows the intertwined fates of police officers Yug Arya and Shaurya Anthwal, who communicate across time through a mysterious walkie-talkie that activates at 11:11 pm. Set in Uttarakhand, the series centres on their efforts to solve cold cases, particularly the 15-year-old murder of young Aditi. As Inspector Vamika Rawat joins the present-day investigation, the team races against time to uncover the truth before unsolved cases are permanently closed.
