There are also reports that suggest that Trace Lysette of ‘Transparent’ and Mette Towley might also join the cast.
The said film is inspired by a 2016 New York magazine article that follows the lives of several former strip club employees who get together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients at the time of financial instability in the country. It is written and directed by Lorene Scafaria who was behind ‘the Meddler’ movie.
The film will have Cardi B make her feature debut who has previously revealed that she worked as a stripper before becoming a singer. Cardi has worked with JLo before on a song called ‘Dinero’.
'Hustlers' will start shooting on March 22, 2019, in New York City.
It will be produced by STX Films alongside JLo, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina. Adam Fogelson, Chairman of STXfilms said, “We could not have asked for a more exciting or talented lineup of performers to join our cast. STX is thrilled to reunite with Jennifer, Elaine and Benny to bring this unexpected, entertaining and often shocking story to the big screen for audiences worldwide.”
